Debander Systems for Strap Removal

Industrial Automation are market leaders in the supply of the Debander range of pallet strap removal machines. This highly effective automation technology is able to locate, cut and shred any plastic wrapping bands or straps off loaded pallets, just prior to the depalletisation process. The Debander machinery is available both for the pallet straps and the individual layer straps, and has been successfully integrated with machinery from all major filling line manufacturers. Current customers include major breweries, soft drink producers and food manufacturers, who are receiving high volumes of palletised empty containers for their product.

The benefits of automating this part of the filling process are:

  • improving production reliability and continuity
  • reducing labour requirements
  • minimising container damage and breakage (especially with glass containers)
  • optimising strap disposal

Pallet Debander

Pallet Strap Removal System PictureThe Pallet Debander automatically locates, cuts and removes vertical plastic straps from pallets. Ideally suited for palletised cans and bottles, the Debander helps to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Robotec Debander

The Robotec Debander is the ideal solution for customers with limited space or reduced throughput.  IA have taken key parts of the traditional Debander System and mounted them flexibly onto a Robot arm.  The production proven head utilises a sensor to locate, cut and remove straps then place into a granulator for shredding.

Layer Debander

Automatic Layer Strap Removal System PictureThe Layer Debander is mounted onto a depalletising unit and automatically locates, cuts and removes the horizontal plastic strap found on each layer of bottles, thus helping to reduce labour costs and minimise broken bottles.
